Shelling - Shelling on City beaches has been excellent since the beach re-nourishment project.  Typically, one can find olives, augers, whelks, conchs and scallops along the water line, and sometimes in thick deposits farther up on the "flat" beach.  To help identify the shells you find, go to: http://www.seashells.org/seashells/sanibelseashellident.htm
